Founder/Owner Gene & Ronnie
Gene was born in Incheon, South Korea, and moved to the United States at a young age. He has spent most of his life in New York City. Gene developed a passion for cooking early on and began working in the restaurant industry while attending college. After graduating, he discovered his love for working with food and people, which led him to pursue a career in the restaurant industry. With over 20 years of experience, Gene decided to open a fast-casual Korean restaurant in the Lower East Side of NYC with his wife Ronnie. His goal is to offer high-quality Korean food at an affordable price, bringing “Yummy Happiness” with every DupBop!
